MW Maths is based in the UK and offers online group sessions for GCSE and A-Level students. Specific topics have been chosen which are known to be tricky for students. The sessions are interactive with students being expected to take part. A worksheet will be provided ahead of the Google Meet which students can annotate on whilst participating in the lesson. Tips and tricks will also be shared to help learners succeed with that topic.
You can find details of our upcoming sessions here.
Sessions are delivered via Google Meet. It is free to use so please make sure you can access this prior to the lesson. Once the booking is confirmed, a Google Meet link will be sent to your specified email address. The day before your session, a worksheet will be emailed that should be printed and used during the live session. Some students prefer to write on these using a tablet and stylus. If this is the case, it is recommended that a different device is used to join the Google Meet.
Each session is interactive so students are expected to engage and take part. Headphones are recommended to ensure students can clearly hear their tutor, but this is not mandatory as most devices have built in speakers. A pen, calculator and some paper to make notes will be sufficient.
The sessions will be recorded and the link to the recording shared with each participant. Students will be able to listen back to the session for up to 4 weeks should they wish to review any part of the teaching. Please ensure that cameras and microphones are turned off upon joining the Google Meet.
